Nurse Tempo — Medical Disclaimer
Effective date: June 28, 2026
Please read this carefully before using Nurse Tempo. By using the Service, you confirm that you understand and agree to everything below. This Disclaimer is part of our Terms of Use and should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. Educational tool — not medical advice
Nurse Tempo is an educational and productivity tool for nurses and nursing students. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for professional clinical judgment, training, or supervision. Everything in the Service — including references, calculators, drug information, practice questions, rationales, and AI-generated output — is provided for general educational and informational purposes only.
Nurse Tempo does not create a provider–patient relationship and does not recommend or endorse any specific test, medication, product, procedure, or course of treatment.
2. Not a medical device
Nurse Tempo is not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any disease or condition, and it is not intended to be relied upon for any clinical decision.
3. You are responsible — verify everything
The Service is intended to be used by a licensed clinician, or a student under appropriate supervision, who remains fully and solely responsible for every clinical decision.
- Always use your own independent clinical judgment.
- Always follow your facility's policies, orders, and protocols, and any directions from a qualified supervising provider.
- Independently verify any value, dose, calculation, lab range, or interpretation against an authoritative, current source before acting on it.
- Never make a clinical decision based on the Service alone.
4. AI output may be wrong
Some features use artificial intelligence to generate responses. AI output may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect (“hallucinated”), even when it appears confident or cites sources. You must independently verify all AI output before relying on it. We make no warranty that any AI output is accurate, complete, or fit for any clinical or professional purpose.
5. No patient information (PHI)
Nurse Tempo is not intended to receive Protected Health Information (PHI), and we are not your HIPAA business associate by default. Do not enter PHI or any patient-identifying information. De-identify all clinical information before entering it. You are solely responsible for complying with HIPAA, your employer's policies, and all applicable privacy laws.
Photos and images. Some tools let you upload a photo (for example, a wound). Only upload an image you have the depicted person's permission (consent) to capture and share — including your own — and remove everything identifying first (no faces, names, tattoos, jewelry, documents, name bands, or other identifiers). Photo-analysis tools are for general education only; do not use them to diagnose, or to guide the care of, a real patient.
6. Not for emergencies
The Service is not for use in medical emergencies. In an emergency, follow your facility's emergency procedures and contact appropriate emergency services (for example, call 911 in the United States).
7. Assumption of risk
You knowingly and voluntarily assume all risk arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service and its content (including AI output). To the maximum extent permitted by law, BMB Ventures, LLC (dba Nurse Tempo) is not liable for any loss or harm arising from clinical decisions or reliance on the Service. See the Terms of Use, Sections 10 and 11.
